Almost halfway through the Pac-12 season and four teams have two losses. Let’s take a look at the standings.

California (16-5, 6-2) and Oregon (15-5, 6-2) are sitting at the top followed by Colorado (13-6, 5-2) and Washington (12-7, 5-2).

Stanford (15-5, 5-3) and Arizona (13-7, 4-3) are falling out of contention after road defeats Saturday.

Washington State (11-8, 3-4) and UCLA (10-9, 3-4) can’t afford to lose many more games if they’re going to stay in the race while Oregon State (13-7, 3-5), Arizona State (6-13, 2-5), Utah (5-14, 2-5) and USC (5-15, 0-7) have stumbled badly in the first half of the conference season.

— Cal dropped a golden opportunity to separate itself from everyone else in the conference.

— Oregon grabbed a share of the Pac-12 lead with a 75-68 win over UCLA.

— It was a tale of halves for the Bruins. Good in the first, but lousy in the second.

— Colorado may have the best home court advantage in the conference. The Buffaloes are a different team at Coors Events Center where they beat Arizona 64-63.

— The Wildcats are wondering if Colorado’s high altitude had anything to do with them shooting 3 of 20 on three-pointers.

— Washington plays at Arizona State on Thursday and the Sun Devils are reeling after an embarrassing 64-43 loss at Utah.

— The 19-point win was the best game for the Utes against a Pac-12 opponent.

— Form Sonics great Gary Payton was on hand to watch his former team Oregon State beat USC 78-59.
